Hey guys! So here is a quick a maybe a little vague review for finale, its only vague as I didn't want to say too much that could give away too much of the series before this book! I know I posted a review on the first book in the series (Hush, Hush) quite a while ago, and as of yet I haven't done reviews on the other two, but even though I finished Finale a long time ago I still feel like I really need to tell you guys about it!
Will love conquer all?Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.
Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.
But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.
As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.
I absolutely loved this book from start to finish, but that is really no surprise! I don't think that anyone can find a flaw in this book, except maybe that it is the end of the series, but even that has been executed fantastically.
So as you may know (if you have read the first 3 books in the series, if not then go and read them!) Nora is the main protagonist and also a Nephil, part human part angel, since she got turned in a previous book. Patch has been many things, a fallen angel, to Nora's guardian angel and so on. Their relationship is one that keeps you hooked, and keeps you rooting for them no matter what happens in the book! I love how them and their relationship is written, you either want them (Patch of course), want to be them or want to have what they have.
So in Finale we see the end of the war between the angels and the nephilim, the whole story finally comes together completely, and everything gets answered. It has to be one of the best books in the whole series, it even managed to make me fully cry for a while, and not many books can do that! The book moves along at a very good pace, much like the rest of the series does, and crams a hell of a lot into the book! This book is, in all ways a final book, but whilst reading it you forget that the end is coming, and not just the end of the book.
I really don't want to say too much about this book, because I don't want to take anything away from it for those of you who have not read it yet, I want you to get the full effect of this book. This makes it very hard to write a review for it, so im sorry that it is not the best review ever. Just know that this book is a must read, although most of you that have read the Hush, Hush series will already be dying to read it, and it is essential that you do! Those of you that have not read the Hush, Hush series really need to go and start now, and I advise that you read my review of Hush, Hush which is book number one in the series. You can read it here.
Bye for now :)
